Makes one cocktail.
2 tablespoons sugar
Lemon wedge
2 ounces brandy
1 ounce Cointreau or other orange liqueur
1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice
Using lemon wedge and sugar placed on a small plate or dish, rim a chilled cocktail glass with sugar.
In an ice-filled cocktail shaker, combine brandy, Cointreau, and lemon juice. Shake vigorously.
Strain into cocktail glass and serve immediately.
